Wockhardt Hospitals joins PM’s ‘Clean India’ vision

Wockhardt Hospitals, a chain of tertiary care super-specialty hospitals, is the latest to join the “Swachh Bharat Mission” launched under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. The hospital has organised a campaign ‘A step towards cleanliness’ involving their employees and citizens of the city.

As a part of the campaign, all the employees of the hospital took the charge to clean the vicinity of the Wockhardt towers, BKC and also the people from the nearby areas joined the cleanliness drive. Wockhardt also circulated a badge with a message ‘A step towards cleanliness’ to all the participants. Total 35 employees spent their Monday morning by cleaning the streets of BKC to keep the surrounding clean.

Zahabiya Khorakiwala, managing director, Wockhardt Hospitals, said, “A clean India is the need of the hour. With the announcement of the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” by our PM, it is the responsibility of all citizens to participate in the mission and contribute to the cause. Wockhardt Hospitals is proud to organise this initiative, which is a small step towards cleanliness. We also take this chance to reach out to the community directly and spread awareness about clean environment, which after all is essential for a healthy being. We look forward to be a part of such initiatives in the future, which will help us serve our nation in some way.”
