The launch ceremony of '2015- The Year of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients' in New Delhi on February 4, 2015 at PHD Chambers auditorium has now been postponed by the government of India due to the Assembly elections in Delhi which is scheduled for February 7.
The new date of the programme is yet to be announced by the government, Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association (BDMA) president Jayant Tagore informed.
Earlier, the Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), under the 'Make in India' programme, had decided to declare 2015 year as 'Year of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients'. And the BDMA was made the nodal agency to organize various activities throughout the year under this banner to project India as a major API producer globally.
The DoP and the BDMA in association with other API related organizations such as IDMA, IPA, Pharmexcil had also planned the launch ceremony of '2015- The Year of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients' in New Delhi on February 4, 2015 at PHD Chambers auditorium.
