Exostar, an innovative information technology company offering cloud-based solutions that enable secure, cost-effective business-to-business collaboration, and WhoKnows announced an agreement that puts powerful new collaboration capabilities at the fingertips of businesses and individuals who participate in Exostar’s rapidly growing life science and healthcare community.
WhoKnows has joined Exostar’s newly-launched Partner Programme as an Application Partner by connecting its smart enterprise network solution to the Exostar Life Sciences Identity Hub.
The key to successful collaboration is bringing the right people with the right knowledge together at the right time. WhoKnows makes it easier for parties to find one another so they can help one another advance their business objectives. The WhoKnows Discovery Engine automatically derives expertise and relationships for every individual based on their normal work routine. It then makes that information available to colleagues, subject to confirmation and approval. The WhoKnows Smart Layer browser plug-in produces recommendations of peers who have relevant subject matter expertise or connections to others who do. It does so at the point of need, within the confines of the web app, customer relationship management tool, or search engine within which an individual is working. By connecting to the Exostar Life Sciences Identity Hub, WhoKnows extends the impact of its solution by reaching an engaged, broader audience.
“The life science and healthcare industries are accelerating their adoption of collaborative business models to cut costs, speed research and development processes, and safely deliver the most effective therapies to patients,” says Daniel Pfeifle, Exostar’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Collaboration must promote productivity without compromising security or compliance. That’s precisely the value proposition the Exostar/WhoKnows relationship brings to our community.”
Exostar’s Life Sciences Identity Hub is a cloud-based solution delivered as-a-Service. Organisations connect once, eliminating redundant infrastructure while reducing on-boarding and provisioning times from weeks or months to days. Individuals benefit from a single sign-on user experience that authenticates their identities and enforces access privileges defined by the owners of connected applications and associated documents and information. Nearly 700 life science and healthcare organisations and 15,000 individuals in 50 countries worldwide securely collaborate and conduct business through the Life Sciences Identity Hub.
“We are excited to be an early adopter in the Exostar Partner Program’s history,” says WhoKnows CEO Chris Macomber. “We’re confident members of the Exostar community will be able to raise the bar on collaboration and innovation by leveraging our solution to gain a deeper understanding of who knows what and who knows who.”
