Wockhardt Hospitals launches press privilege health card on World Health Day

Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road, a comprehensive tertiary healthcare set up launched a ‘Press Privilege Health Card’ on the occasion of World Health Day. An event was organised especially for the journalists from Mumbai- Navi Mumbai, Thane, Vasai and Virar.  This special card will entitle holders to receive privileges on health checkups, diagnostic services, speciality consultation and participation in health education forums.

Ravi Hirwani, centre head at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road said, “We truly believe in spreading the message 'prevention is better than cure' and since health is an integral element of our family happiness, being aware about many diseases such as dengu, swine flu and other life style diseases our core team of Health expert has been visiting various societies and making people aware to follow guidelines of staying healthy and how they can keep away from diseases by simple steps like hand hygiene,diet schedule,daily yoga etc.”

“The diseases when occurred can take time to get cured and people have to go through a lot of pain and loss. So preventing it before it happens is always better. Thus we have started this campaign with a launch of Health Card so to spread this message of staying healthy & happy forever,” says Hirwani

Journalists being the most important part of our society they provide us with daily information and enlighten us about the matters of the society that are of utmost importance. Arranging this day for them gives us an opportunity to keep them healthy in return to their good contribution to society & work, said Dr. Mohinish Bhatjiwale , a senior neurosurgeon from Wockhardt Hospitals , Mira Road who also conducted lecture on “Stress Management & Indian Media” in the event.
