American Green Technology (AGT), a company dedicated to developing innovative, sustainable products to positively impact the health, economy and environment of global communities,  has signed an agreement with Qala Latam Partners (QLP) to market Health Risk Management System (HRMS) in Brazil, Chile and Peru.

The patented UV-C environmental disinfection system eliminates dangerous pathogens that cause Healthcare-associated Infections (HAIs). According to a study by the World Health Organisation, excess mortality caused by HAIs in Latin America can be as high as 18.5 per cent.

With offices in Lima, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago and New York, QLP combines local business knowledge, operational experience, deep financial expertise and unparalleled access to the local market experts. The QLP team are thought leaders who possess a wealth of relevant experience in managing businesses and entrepreneurial endeavours in Latin America.

“An infection prevention solution like the HRMS is sorely needed in Latin America,” said Ernesto Gonzalez Quattrini, managing partner, QLP . “The healthcare systems in Peru, Chile and Brazil need advanced technology like the HRMS to provide protection from HAIs, both in the private and public sectors. We are eager to work with our network of business leaders and partners to efficiently bring the HRMS to the South American market, helping to combat infectious airborne pathogens in a much more efficient and cost-effective manner than before, as well as helping neutralize potentially pandemic infections like TBC, influenza, measles, among many others.”

“We are excited to have reached an agreement with QLP,” said Danny Bogar, chief executive officer of AGT.  “QLP has the ability to help AGT continue its mission of delivering the HRMS everywhere there are young, old and sick people. The HRMS can make such a positive impact for patients and the healthcare industry. The overall HAI rate in Brazil alone is estimated at 14 per cent and for Latin America as a whole it is estimated at 15.5 per cent.”

Designed as a light fixture, the HRMS seamlessly replaces standard commercial lighting systems, therefore, installation of the unit is simple and quick. Once the system is in place, there are no personnel requirements and the system operates non-stop, with only a yearly 15-minute maintenance event.

Qala Latam Partners (QLP) aims to establish long-lasting businesses through its deep local knowledge, international experience and operational expertise. QLP is the partner of choice for developing companies and pursuing opportunities successfully in Latin America.
