Dr. h.c. Herbert Hüttlin, founder and long-time head of the company, will continue to support Romaco Innojet in an advisory capacity.

“Zeljko Pockaj is a proven industry expert with international management experience that will stand him in good stead as Romaco Innojet’s new managing director,” said Paulo Alexandre, chief executive officer, Romaco Group.

“We are confident that Pockaj will push ahead systematically and in a targeted fashion with Romaco Innojet’s ongoing strategic development and make a lasting contribution to the company’s success.”

Pockaj gained a degree in business administration and business engineering and spent many years working for Roche Vitamine and Roche Pharma, where he held various executive positions in national and international sales as well as in commercial functions. At DSM Nutritional Products, he was in charge of mergers and acquisitions amongst other things. Prior to joining Romaco Innojet, he was vice president, food and beverage ingredients at DKSH Holding Ltd. in Switzerland, where he also oversaw Asian business.

“As new managing director of Romaco Innojet and successor to Dr. h.c. Herbert Hüttlin, I’m stepping into big shoes and I’m very conscious of the special responsibility I bear”, Pockaj emphasized.

“Following Innojet Herbert Hüttlin’s successful incorporation into the Romaco Group and its integration in the new Group structure, the main focus will be on developing and leveraging the potential for innovative air flow bed technology in specific industries. That will lay the foundation for our technology leadership in the global pharmaceutical, food and chemical sectors.”

Dr. h.c. Herbert Hüttlin, founder of Romaco Innojet and inventor of the internationally patented air flow bed technology, will withdraw from day-to-day management but continue to support the company in an advisory capacity. “Although I am retiring from the Romaco Innojet board of management, I am very keen to give my successor Zeljko Pockaj my full backing and provide any necessary assistance,” said Dr. Hüttlin.

“My new position will allow me to maintain close contacts with our customers and advise our partners comprehensively on processing issues. I see Romaco Innojet as my lifetime achievement and remain committed to serving its interests in the future.”

Romaco is a leading global supplier of processing and packaging equipment, predominantly for the pharmaceutical industry. Divided into three business areas, processing, tableting and packaging, the company develops engineered system solutions for the pharmaceutical market, but also supplies the cosmetics, food and chemical markets.
