RR College of Pharmacy’s mega pharma job fair concluded successfully as 369 candidates from the total 963 employment seekers received job offer letters in a single day. These candidates from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Kerala and Maharashtra had registered at the day-long job fair seeking better openings and new avenues for growth in drug manufacture, research and marketing.
The event held on September 30, 2015 had 33 leading pharma companies participating from south India.
The 369 candidates from the six states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Kerala and Maharashtra were issued appointment orders, said Prof. Raveendra. R, head of the department & placement officer, RR College of Pharmacy.
There was an active participation of both companies and candidates at the mega pharma job fair that was held at the RR College campus between 10 am and 6 pm, he added.
The event was supported by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA), Karnataka Drugs Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (KDPMA), Karnataka State Pharmacy Council (KSPC), Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences ( RGUHS), Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) with companies like Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Limited (KAPL), Micro Labs along with the department of pharmaceuticals, ministry of chemicals and fertilizers and the Karnataka drugs control department. It was sponsored by PKM Educational Trust, KAPL, Micro Labs, Group Pharma and Remidex Pharma.
The job fair was inaugurated by D H Shankara Murthy, chairman, Legislative Council, and government of Karnataka and presided over by H R Kiran, sSecretary, RR Institutions, Bengaluru.
