Medikoe raises Rs.66 lakh from CMS Computers to set up online healthcare platform

Medikoe, an online healthcare start-up, has raised US$ 100,000 or Rs.66 lakh in angel funding from Anil Menon, CEO, CMS Computers Limited to its fuel expansion to Mumbai and NCR region by the year-end.

The company promoters Sreevalsan Menon and Raman Shukla unveiled the online medical platform last month to connect consumers to hospitals, diagnostic centre, pharmacy and wellness centres. It has now tied up with Manipal Hospitals, Jiyo Natural, NM Medical Diagnostic, Nightingales Homecare, Positive Homeopathy among others.

The phase-1 launch comprises three products:  Discover, Deal and Review. It will integrate all the healthcare and wellness deals from 5% to 30% on a single platform, and the objective is to make access to diagnostics and treatment not only convenient but also affordable.

“We will expand across the country and associate with more than 6,000 healthcare and wellness service providers”, said Menon adding that since its launch last month, over 1,800 users have been engaged in around 20,000 searches on the platform.
