Health Care at Home India Pvt. Ltd. (HCAH), a joint venture between the Burman family (the promoters of Dabur) and founders of Health Care at Home, UK; partnered with Yoddhas, Indians fighting against cancer, to conduct a cancer awareness and fitness drive with all participants at ‘Raahgiri Day’, in Connaught Place, New Delhi.

Around 50 volunteers and cancer survivors participated in the campaign, kick-started by HCAH and Yoddhas. The cancer awareness and fitness drive flagged off the larger awareness drive co-organised by the two organisations which will culminate on the upcoming World Cancer Day on February 4, 2016.

HCAH, a home health care provider, is committed to spread awareness about cancer and this initiative falls in line with the company’s tireless fight against the fatal disease. Collaborating with Yoddhas, the home healthcare provider participated in various activities, along with some cancer survivors as well as volunteers.

Vivek Srivastava, chief executive officer, Health Care at Home India stated, “We are delighted to collaborate with Yoddhas at Raahgiri Day, a platform to create awareness on a range initiatives and issues that impact life. We are committed in our endeavour to educate the general public on various aspects of cancer and thereby join us in the fight for cancer eradication.”

Dr. Gaurav Thukral, ?vice president & business unit director, Health Care at Home India, who led the question and answer session for the audience remarked, “Through on-ground initiatives like these, we want to reach out to people who are struggling with this deadly disease and are unaware of the procedures and measures available in the market. Battling cancer is a complex and emotional journey for the patient and their families. The intensive treatment for cancer usually entails multiple hospital visits, leading to direct and indirect costs for organised medical attention. At HCAH, we provide end to end solutions in cancer care at home, ranging from chemotherapy to palliative care; thereby providing a comprehensive and customised cancer care at home to patients.”
