Bausch + Lomb, a global health and wellness company, entered into a partnership with Bosch, to market the latter’s innovative digital Fundus camera . This is a compact retina camera, with special software that can detect conditions such as cataract at an early stage.

“Our partnership with Bosch is in line with our strategic expansion plans. This will further strengthen our portfolio in the ophthalmic diagnostic devices market. Being a leader in the eye-care industry, this alliance will enable us to leverage our distribution strength to supplement growing market of eye care solutions, said Sanjay Bhutani, managing director, India and SAARC, Bausch + Lomb,

Bausch + Lomb has over 163 years of experience in eye care solutions with a large network and strong presence in over 100 countries including India.

“To collaborate with ‘Bausch + Lomb’ is a motivating prospect as the company is renowned for its contribution to the eye-care field”, said Vijay Ratnaparkhe, managing director, Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions.

We look to leverage this partnership as it would help us reach out to a larger population and thereby prevent the incidence of avoidable blindness and vision impairment in the country,” he added.

“We will continue to set new standards in eye-care by providing innovative technologies that help people see better”, said Premal Pandya, commercial director – ophthalmology and aesthetics, Bausch + Lomb, India.

“The partnership will enable us look to create newer markets.
