Drug pricing regulator National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has revised ceiling prices of 45 scheduled formulations of Schedule-I under Drugs (Price Control) Amendment Order, 2016, another 32 scheduled formulations packs of IV Fluids of Schedule-I under Drugs (Price Control) Amendment Order, 2016 and retail price of 12 formulations under DPCO, 2013.
Name of the Scheduled Formulations are Tramadol Capsule, Leflunomide Tablet, Methotrexate Tablet, Prednisolone Tablet, Carbamazepine Tablet, Phenobarbitone Tablet, Sodium valproate Tablet, Albendazole Tablet, Diethylcarbamazine Tablet, Metronidazole Tablet, Pyrazinamide Tablet, Ethambutol Tablet, Fluconazole Tablet, Griseofulvin Tablet, Acyclovir Tablet, Quinine Tablet, Mefloquine Tablet, Propranolol Tablet, Methotrexate Tablet, Cyclosporine Capsule, Ondansetron Tablet , Amitriptyline Tablet, Fluoxetine Capsule, Warfarin Tablet , Diltiazem Tablet, Amiodarone Tablet, Atenolol Tablet, Enalapril Tablet, Domperidone Tablet, Medroxyprogesteroneacetate Tablet, Nifedipine Tablet, Salbutamol Tablet, Insulin (Soluble) Injection, Intermediate Acting (NPH) Insulin Injection and Premix Insulin (30:70) (Regular : NPH) Injection.
Revised ceiling prices of 24 scheduled formulations packs of IV Fluids of Schedule-I under Drugs (Price Control) Amendment Order, 2016 are Glucose Injection , Sodium Chloride Injection and Glucose+ Sodium Chloride Injection.
Retail Price of 12 formulations under DPCO, 2013 are Diclofenac Sodium Injection (Volitra AQ) , Metformin HCl + Gliclazide Tablet (Glychek M OD 60), Albendazole+ Ivermectin Tablet (Zenebend Plus), Moxifloxacin HCl +Cefixime Tablet (Zifi-Max), Dicyclomine HCl Tablet, Rabeprazole Sodium+ Domperidone Capsule , Metformin HCl+ Gliclazide Tablet (Glychek M OD 30), Clindamycin Phosphate + Hydrous Benzoyl Peroxide Gel , Telmisartan+
Indapamide Tablet, Tramadol HCl + Diclofenac Sodium Tablet (Dolinsta), Paracetamol Injection (Paralup IV) and Telmisartan+ Nebivolol HCl Tablet (Telma NB).
All the existing manufacturers of scheduled formulations, selling the branded or generic or both the versions of scheduled formulations at a price higher than the ceiling price (plus local taxes as applicable) so fixed and notified by the Government, shall revise the prices of all such formulations downward not exceeding the ceiling price specified plus local taxes as applicable, if any.
All the existing manufacturers of above mentioned scheduled formulations having MRP lower than the ceiling price specified plus local taxes as applicable, if any, shall continue to maintain the existing MRP in accordance with paragraph 13 (2) of the DPCO, 2013.
The manufacturer shall issue a price list in Form-V as per paragraph 24 (2) of the DPCO, 2013.
The manufacturers of scheduled formulations shall furnish quarterly return to the NPPA, in respect of production / import and sale of scheduled formulations in Form-III of Schedule-II of the DPCO, 2013. Any manufacturer intending to discontinue production of above said scheduled formulation shall furnish information to the NPPA, in respect of discontinuation of the production and / or import of scheduled formulation in Form-IV of Schedule-II of the DPCO, 2013 at least six months prior to the intended date of discontinuation.
