Curofy, a leading networking platform for practising doctors may reach out to 3 lakh medicos constituting half of country's existing medical professionals within a couple of years.
At present there are around 7 lakh allopathy doctors in the country. Developed with an objective to bridge distance among doctors and help them to solve the cases, Curofy, a mobile app, offers doctors a spam-free and secure environment to communicate with each other. Doctors can provide referrals, share cases, call other doctors without saving numbers and have access to most recent, specialty-wise developments taking place in various fields of medicine, thus providing them a platform for collaborative learning. The app also features location based job openings thereby helping medicos secure opportunities as per their area of specialisation near their location.
“Since inception in 2015, Curofy is getting overwhelming response from doctors across the country. Doctors from 400 sub specialties use Curofy. It has recently crossed the mark of 1 lakh active users comprising around 91,302 allopathy and 8698 Ayurveda practitioners in 600 cities and we are hopeful to register 3 lakh doctors on Curofy within 2 years”, said Mudit Vijayvergiya, co-founder, Curofy.
Some of the cities that witnessed the highest number of medicos using Curofy include Mumbai with 8276 doctors on the app, New Delhi with 8,106 practitioners on the platform, 5,378 physicians in Hyderabad, 4,418 medicos in Pune, 3,712 doctors in Bengaluru, 3,261 in Chennai, 2773 in Ahmedabad, 2,449 in Surat, 2,063 in Jaipur.
Apart from allopathy practitioners, our mobile app is the most fruitful for Ayurvedic doctors as it provides them with an platform to discuss complicated cases and best available treatment practices. The course of study in Ayurveda is too old and there is hardly any update in the syllabus over the years. Curofy keeps Ayurveda practitioners updated about latest developments in their domain so that they can provide patients high quality treatment, he informed.
Our objective is to become the digital world of doctors. Curofy offering knowledge exchange platform for doctors is a right step in this direction. Curofy gets almost 700 sign ups every day and almost 250 case discussions which translates to 1 doctor signing up every 2 minutes on its mobile app each day. So far 50,834 case discussions took place on Curofy. We have secured undisclosed amount in Pre-Series A funding from Roundglass Partners and talk is going on with prospective investors to raise more funds to spur our presence, he opined.
