Cadila Healthcare net profit dips by 22.6% in Q1

Cadila Healthcare, a Rs.9,450 crore plus pharma giant, has suffered a setback during the first quarter ended June 2016 and its consolidated net profit declined by 22.6 per cent to Rs.356 crore from Rs.460 crore in the corresponding period of last year due to lower net sales, lower other operating income and other income. Its consolidated net sales declined by 2.2 per cent to Rs.2,216 crore from Rs.2,267 crore. With lower net profit, EPS declined to Rs.3.48 from Rs.4.50 in the last period.  

EDBITA declined by 10.5 per cent to Rs.539 crore from Rs.602 crore. Depreciation provision increased to Rs.84 crore from Rs.69 crore. Its other operating income declined to Rs.71 crore from Rs.116 crore and other income to Rs.15 crore from Rs.24 crore.

Before announcement of financial results, Cadila Healthcare Rs.1 face value scrip closed at Rs.347 on BSE with minor loss of Rs.0.75. today.
