Pharma Technology Expo to take off in Ahmadabad on Aug 21, with a pavilion for overseas exhibitors

An international exhibition cum seminar, ‘PharmaTech Expo 2016’ focusing on pharmaceutical machinery, packaging, laboratory equipments and pharma ingredients, will open on August 21 at Gujarat University Exhibition Centre in Ahmadabad under the aegis of PharmaTechnologyIndex.com, a Gujarat based exhibitor group dedicated to pharma industry.

The event will be on till August 23 and will be inaugurated by a central minister in the presence of ministers of Gujarat government, the organising group informed. PharmaTech Expo 2016, the third edition in the series, is supported by NSIC, Pharmexcil and FDA Gujarat.

While pharmaceutical export promotion council becomes the conference partner, the Centre, B. V. Patel Pharmaceutical Education and Research Development takes the role of knowledge partner for the international expo. The event is also supported by international organisations like the Council of EU Chambers of Commerce in India and Indo-Africa Chamber of Commerce & industry.

The programme is propped up by state organisations like Ambala Scientific Instruments Manufacturers Association, Vadodara Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Naroda Industries Association, Rajkot Engineering Association, Jain International Trade Organisation Ahmedabad Chapter and Gujarat Pharmacy Council.

According to Arjay Shah, managing director of KNS Media Pvt Ltd, the flagship company of the exhibitors, this year’s pharma tech exhibition will showcase the highly diversified strength of the pharmaceutical machinery sector for various applications for manufacturing tablet compression machine, machinery for ointments, liquids, pharmaceutical processing equipment and laboratory instruments. Besides, it will exhibit high-speed tablet compression machines and, unique capsule-fillers.

As part of the Technology Expo a seminar on ‘GMP for SMEs - Schedule M & Beyond’, will be held on August 21 by Pharmexcil and another seminar on ‘Ayurveda--the Future of Healthcare,’ on 22.

The organisers expect more than 5000 potential visitors to the expo. So far 150 exhibitors from all over India have registered their stalls and there will be an international pavilion for overseas exhibitors.
