Care Hospital signs agreement with Odisha govt to establish super specialty hospital in Jharsuguda

The Hyderabad based Care Hospitals has signed an agreement with the state government of Odisha to establish a super speciality cardia care hospital in Jharsuguda in the state. The agreement was executed among the officials of Health and Family welfare department, government of Odisha and care hospitals in the presence of Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha.

According to authorities of Care Hospital, the new super specialty hospital in Jharsuguda would be a 100 bedded hospital that would provide all supporting clinical specialisations and disciplines necessary for cardiac care.  Cardiovascular diseases are emerging as the biggest health risk today, and this project will specifically address this challenge. This facility will be first of its kind in Western Odisha with 50 percent of its capacity earmarked to provide free treatment to poor patients. The hospital will also provide supporting clinical specialisation and disciplines necessary for cardiac care.

As part of the agreement the state government would bear the capital expenditure of Rs.75 crore for setting up the hospital that would be operated maintained and managed by Care Hospitals for up to 15 years. The project is targeted to be completed in the next two years.

Dr.Mudit Saxena, chief executive officer, Care Group of Hospitals said this project will help the people of western part of Odisha and they will be accessing the best of super speciality health care services at their doorstep. The hospital is to be set up under public private partnership (PPP) model. The state government has provided 5.5 acres at Jharsuguda.
