Al Ameen College of Pharmacy to hold ALPHACON 2017 from Feb 9-11 to highlight R&D to meet global challenges

Al Ameen College of Pharmacy is organising its first national conference ALPHACON 2017 to be held from February 9-11, 2017. The event will take place at the Dr Mumtaz Ahmad Khan Golden Jubilee auditorium within the college campus in  Bengaluru.  The theme of the event is ‘Pioneering Pharmaceutical R&D to meet global challenges.’

The key objective of the conference is to provide a platform for the pharmacy profession to overcome their challenges, interact and exchange current information in the pharmaceutical sciences.

The rising health disorders and increasing drug research failure is at an alarming rate stimulating the demand for drug discovery and development. As research is integrating various disciplines this conference mainly aims to bring experts from the pharma sector to help the academicians, researchers and young scientists to upgrade the rapid changing advancement in R&D.

According to Dr. Shobha Rani R Hiremath, principal, Al Ameen College of Pharmacy and chairperson ALPHACON 2017, today pharmacy profession is at the cross roads. As a result pharmacy professionals need to be more proactive and take up challenges to to move forward.

The event calls for original research contributions in any one of the specialities: pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry & analysis, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacy practice and management.

In addition to sustain the momentum of the students and gauge their knowledge, an objective type quiz ‘Genesis’ will be open for undergraduates and post graduates. In addition ALPHACON 2017 will have an exclusive exhibition ‘Pharma Expo 2017 with 15 stalls. There will also be a placement drive ‘ Pharma Conclave 2017’.
