According to official figures, there were around 22,000 visitors took part in Apteka Moscow 2003.which was held at Olympic Sport Complex - "SC Olympiisky" in Moscow from 28 October - 1 November 2003.
Nearly425 exhibitors from 20 countries including Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Byelorussia, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, India, Italy, Japan, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, USA, Yugoslavia participated in the event.
Among the visitors, Russian participants made up 80.7%, whereas international participants accounted for 19.3% of total registered participants. High-profile scientists, pharmacists, doctors, hospital representatives, pharmaceutical executives, engineers and cosmetic specialists. came mainly from Russia, Europe and Asia for negotiations, to exchange information and to establish business with companies. The show has proven its position as a key event for the industry with the major international brands well represented.
Since its first edition Apteka Moscow has established itself as a leading platform in the pharmaceutical sector for both international participants and Russian companies to foster collaborative partnerships, strategic alliances and information sharing.
Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma, Richard Bittner, Berlin-Chemie/Menarini Pharma, Pharma Garant, Solvay Pharma, Shreya Life Sciences, Omron, Ciech Polfa, Krka and others presented their latest products and services at Apteka Moscow 2003.Other international firms were Montavit, Sopharma, Vichy Laboratories, Biolabor, Hexal, Woerwag Pharma, IPCA Laboratories, Vaishali Group, Protek, SANTA, SIM Finland, Zepter International, Covex, Eli Lilly, etc. 18% of the international companies exhibited for the first time. The key players of the Russian pharmaceutical and related products industry participated in the trade fair.
