Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI)

The Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) is an organisation of pharmaceutical manufacturers established in 1965. Its membership consists of Indian companies as well as companies with international collaboration. It represents primarily research based companies in India. The market share of its member firms in total pharmaceuticals market in India is around 60%. OPPI Members currently manufacture over 200 bulk drugs and account for 50% of the industry's export of drugs and pharmaceuticals.

Pharmaceutical & Allied Manufacturers' & Distributors' Association Limited' (PAMDAL) was founded in 1940 with the objective to promote active co-operation with the pharmaceutical and allied industry. Pharmexcil

The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) is to take care of the export promotional activities for the sectors like drugs and pharmaceuticals including intermediaries, herbal, ayurvedic, unani and homeopathic medicines, biotech and biological products, diagnostics, surgicals, nutraceuticals, pharma industry related services, collaborative research, contract manufacturing and clinical trials and consultancy operations. The Council, which is head quartered at Hyderabad, India,with registered office in Mumbai, is a trade promotion body under the Indian Commerce Ministry.

Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA)

IPA, formed in November 1999 with leading domestic pharmaceutical companies which collectively account for about 30 per cent of the domestic pharmaceutical market and contribute one-third of the total pharma exports from the country. Also, these firms contribute over 90 per cent of R&D expenditure in pharmaceutical industry.

Indian Drug Manufacturers' Association (IDMA)

IDMA represents the national sector of the Indian manufacturers engaged in producing and providing essential bulk actives and formulations. IDMA represents more than 500 large, medium and small companies, spread over the country. Founded in 1961, the association is considered voice of national industry.

Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association (BDMA)

The Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association (India) is an all India body representing all the active drug ingredients (APIs) manufacturers of the country. Head-quartered at Hyderabad, the association consists of large, medium and many small-scale units. It was formed in 1991 as a common forum for formulating matters including national, economic, financial, commercial and related policies concerning the growth of the bulk drug industry in the country.
