ISPE SINGAPORE CONFERENCE 2004 -- 18-20 April, Singapore A Review

The 4th presentation of the ISPE Singapore Conference attracted 234 participants from 16 countries including Australia, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Belgium and USA. Participants to the ISPE Singapore Conference started the week early with 8 pre-conference Workshops on Sunday, 18 April, and continued with 9 Industry Tracks presented in the comprehensive 2-day programme on 19 and 20 April.

The keynote session on Monday, 19 April were delivered by speakers from US FDA, Australian TGA and the IMS Health, covering both regulatory development and market trends.

Joseph Philips of FDA discussed the Pharmaceutical cGMP Initiative while Robert Tribe of TGA spoke on PIC/s and Carl Fearn of IMS Health looked at the new Biotech products and their impact on the pharmaceutical market.

The programme was followed by the 9 industry tracks on API, Regulatory Developments, Computer Control & Automation, Bio Process Plants, Secondary Pharma, Facilities, Water Systems, Laboratories and R & D.

Apart from participating in the comprehensive programme, the delegates, of which 88% were senior and middle management also attended the Pharma Nite, an industry cocktail event where Conference delegates, speakers, VIP visitors and exhibitors gathered for an evening of fun, entertainment and networking.
