M+W Zander - cleanroom units for biotech, pharma

M+W Zander a German cleanroom major that has perfected the cleanroom design and construction for pharmaceutical, bio-technology, food processing and micro-electronic industries. The world's largest inhalable insulin plant for Pfizer and the largest fermenter installation for Boehringer Ingelheim are some of the major works executed by the company on a turnkey basis.

The company started its operations in Hyderabad in the year 1995 and now has branches in New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai. It had successfully executed 30 cleanroom projects in the country since 1995, on a turnkey basis, out of which 12 projects were in the pharmaceutical sector. Some of the prestigious jobs undertaken by the company in India included facilities at CCMB, IICT, Suven Pharma, Shantha Biotechnics, Granules India, Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, Indian Rare Earths, C Met, DRDO, ISRO, IRDE and DLRL.

A company statement said its Indian operations had the ability both technically and commercially to extend the following scope and services:
- Basis of design/Conceptual design/Detailed engineering
- Design of HVAC (air-conditioning and air management)
- Engineering of complete cleanroom interiors (cleaning grid, wall panels, flooring etc)
- Design of electrical and BMS
- Procurement (including factory inspection) assistance
- Construction of complete facility to the extent of scope of supplies
- Construction of cleanroom interiors may be with local/imported wall panels, or even conventional brick wall with epoxy coating

M+W Zander is one of the few exhibitors from Hyderabad for the three-day Cidex Exhibition from September 24 to 27.
