PACK Expo to focus recent devpts on packaging

The 2012 Conference at PACK EXPO, held in conjunction with PACK Expo International 2012 is aimed at offering packaging and processing professionals actionable insight into trends and issues that is driving industry today. The event which is themed 'educate, innovate and advance,' will be held from October 28 to 31 in McCormick Place, Chicago and aims to offer a customer-centric approach focused on delivering innovative ideas by having multiple conference sessions to address attendees' specific areas of interest.

Conference tracks complement the customer-centric approach to PACK EXPO and will focus on the future, trends and innovations in this area along with discussions on food and product security. It will also deliberate and focus on the latest developments in the field of manufacturing solutions, pharmaceutical and medical device segment with special  focus on sustainability of the packaging materials. Track and trace with information on transportation and logistics is also expected to be covered during this event.

In addition to all this the PACK Expo, PMMI will be partnering with leading associations from across the supply chain to provide conference sessions tailored to attendees' specific areas of interest. Partners for the programme include Alliance for Innovation and Operational Excellence (AIOE), Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility (AIM), Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP), the great lakes and mid west chapters of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE),  International Society for Beverage Technologists (ISBT), PMMI U, Reusable Packaging Association (RPA) and the Packaging Association (PAC) to name a few. Presenters will include executives from Bayer Consumer Care, ConAgra Foods, Estee Lauder

Cosmetics, General Mills, GlaxoSmithKline, Kraft, Nestlé and Pfizer etc.  PMMI is a trade association of more than 600 member companies that manufacture packaging, processing and related converting machinery in the United States and Canada; machinery components and packaging containers and materials.
