Pharmaceutical Expo 2004

Concurrent with 56th IPC, "PHARMAceutical EXPO 2004" - International Exhibition on Pharma Industry, is being organised by FICCI - the apex business and industry organisation of India in association with the Local Organising Committee.

The exhibition aims to expose pharmaceutical companies to a focused target audience. The delegates to the Congress numbering more than 5,000 form the main target segment for pharma companies, and they get an opportunity to display and give live demonstration of their products.

Experts and senior professionals from Plant and Machinery (for Pharma Production), Infrastructure and Accessories ; Packaging Materials & Machinery; Laboratory Equipment, Instruments and Laboratorywares ,Bulk Drugs, Intermediates and Formulations, Excipients, Additives, Water Treatment and Waste Management , Biotechnology, Healthcare Products, Hospital Equipment, Research and Development and Standards, Quality control,Environment & Pollution Control, Technical Publication, Trade Associations, Trade Promotion Bodies, Professional Associations, Safety Equipments, Software for Pharma Industry & Management are expected to display their latest products and innovations in the trade expo.

This trade fair in Kolkata achieves a greater significance because of the city's proximity to Bangladesh. Bangladesh has a strong pharmaceutical manufacturing base with a turnover of approx INR 1900 crores. Indian companies have already forayed into this market running a good deal of in association with pharma companies of Bangladesh. As IPC, Kolkata expects a large number of delegates from India's neighbouring state of Bangladesh. Free travel & hotel facilities are been offered to important buyers from Bangladesh.

FICCI got associated with Indian Pharmaceutical Congress in the year 2001 and since then it has been successfully organising the exhibition every year concurrent to this prestigious event.

PHARMAceutical EXPO 2003 - A Retrospect

Extensively promoted through its international network of Joint Business Councils and Indian Missions "PHARMAceutical Expo 2003" was a thundering success. The exhibition was able to generate business visitors from East & South East Asian and African Countries.

Among 150 exhibitors a sizeable number of foreign companies from countries like China, Japan, UAE, Switzerland, Taiwan, Germany and US participated in the show. Two Delegations of Business Visitors from Sri Lanka & China had also visited the exhibition besides over 200 individual visitors from Gulf Countries, Philippines, Bangladesh, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan & Tanzania
