Qualigens Fine Chemicals, a division of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) India has recently entered a marketing agreement with Honeywell Burdick & Jackson.

Under the agreement, QFC becomes a marketer of Honeywell Burdick & Jackson (B&J) high purity solvents to India, Nepal and Bhutan. Honeywell Research and Life Science Solutions (RLSS) will provide technological expertise and support, drawing on more than 40 years of experience manufacturing high purity solvents.

GSK India will provide sales and logistics to effectively bring these products to its broad pharmaceutical and biotechnology customer base and India-wide distribution network.

High-purity solvents are critical to the successful research, development and approval cycle of pharmaceutical products. Major applications for these solvents include analytical instrumental analysis, such as high performance liquid chromatographs (HPLC), as well as pilot and production of pharmaceuticals.

Honeywell B&J high purity solvents are manufactured at the company's plants in Muskegon, Mich. and Seelze, Germany.

"QFC manufactures and markets a range of products required in a laboratory, including chemicals, diagnostic kits, glassware, culture media, instruments and filter papers. This welcome addition to our range of products, will make QFC more relevant to the industry we serve," said Mehernosh Kapadia, senior executive director, GSK India, in an official release.
