Waters has introduced Acquity ultra performance LC in India. The product offers 1.7X increase in resolution, high sensitivity (narrow peaks) and 9X faster run time than HPLC.
By applying Smaller Particle (1.7um), the state-of-the- art technology enhances column performance, better instrumentation and Quantitation. The product is also now hyphenated with new SQ Mass spectrometer Detector which matches the speed of Acquity UPLC on Data acquisition, provides higher sensitivity with excellent peak resolution.

The SQ Detector is an integral part of Acquity SQD Model. Many innovations are incorporated. It is compact with just over 13 inches of linear bench space (~35cm) and easy to use ensuring better performance and high throughput with good reproducibility. Other notable features are patented Z Spray interface: no tools for cone removal, Air cooled split-flow turbo pump, Intellistart built in fluidics, scans upto 10000amu/sec, data acquisition upto 32 functions per sample and allows fast positive/negative switching.

The company sources added that its IntelliStart Technology, rapid polarity switching capability, fastest scan speed of 10,000 Da/sec --- allows better Quantitation. The product is viewed as an automated on line Diagnostic information source.

The product gives scientists more information about the identity of pharmaceutical, biological, industrial and environmental compounds than conventional UV/Vis-based detector systems. LC/MS systems equipped with single quadrupole mass detectors have become increasingly popular for high-throughput LC/MS work in drug discovery and development laboratories due to the capability, affordability and usability.

Waters Corporation, headquartered in Milford, Massachusetts is the world's largest provider of HPLC instrumentation, chromatography chemistries, results management software, and related support services. Waters India Private Limited, a cent percent subsidiary of the US-based Waters Corporation. In 2006 notable launches included New Version of Top-of-the-Line Mass Spectrometer LCT Premier XE Mass Spectrometer Sets Industry Standard in LC-Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry.
