Acharya & BM Reddy College to organise 2-day seminar on 'Quality Assurance in Pharmaceuticals' from July 18-19
Acharya & B M Reddy College of Pharmacy, Bangalore in association with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) will organise a two-day national seminar on “Quality Assurance in Pharmaceuticals” on 18th and 19th July, 2011 in Bangalore. The event will be sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The main objective of the event is to give an insight on quality assurance, validation of processes, instruments, preparation of SOPs, US FDA approvals, software validation etc. It will also focus on the subjects like quality assurance, quality control, pharmaceutical analysis, drug regulatory affairs, and pharmaceutical technology.
Prof. T V Narayana and Kaushik Desai, chief co-ordinator, Dr Divakar Goli, principal, Acharya & B M Reddy College of Pharmacy, Prof. A. Cendil Kumar, convener, Dr Kalyani Divakar, president IPA-Peenya Branch, Dr Amit Kumar Das, Prof. Ravi Sharma, Prof. Shivanand K Mutta, Prof. Anup Kumar Roy, Prof. Ambujakshi were some of the members who will be present at the seminar.
Dr Divakar Goli, principal, Acharya & B M Reddy College of Pharmacy, said, “This seminar is very important for the students with pharmacy background and also for the researchers and Department of Quality Assurance is a boon for us as it can help us to give the practical knowledge as well.”
Dr Goli also stressed that AICTE also provides a platform for interaction of academicians, working professionals and opportunity for sharing of innovations and inventions through such seminars and workshops. He further added, “Our college also help in ensuring the success to the students and will also help in reaping benefits to the society as well.”
The seminar is arranged specifically for the students of pharmaceutical sciences, researchers, corporate professionals and for people who have an affinity towards quality of products, validation of processes, SOP, calibration of instruments etc.
The seminar will also have a live presentation on the following fields: quality assurance, quality control, pharmaceutical analysis, drug regulatory affairs and on pharmaceutical technology. Dr Goli added, “We are looking forward to have positive response from our students as well as the students who are attending the seminar.”
