APTICON 2013 will be held at Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh from October 25-27, 2013. The 18th edition of the event by the Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI) will be conducted at the Vikas Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences located near the Rajahmundry.
The theme of the convention is ‘Enhancing the Quality of Pharmacy Education and Research to meet Global Challenges’.
The key objective of the event is to identify global challenges and highlight the issues in pharmacy education and research. It would develop innovative and creative approaches to enhance the quality of pharmacy education and research. The focus will be also on thrust areas for development based on future needs of pharmacy profession and industry, teaching and research methodologies.
The local organising committee chairman is Dr K P R Chowdary.
The organisers have invited for original and unpublished research papers for e-poster presentation where the abstract in not more than 200 words should be submitted before September 10, 2013.
The researchers need to cover any one of the nine topics: Pharmaceutical Education: Teaching and Evaluation Methods, Research Methodologies.
Industrial pharmacy covering good manufacturing practices (GMP), total quality management (TQM), regulatory affairs, marketing and management. Pharmacy Practice - Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacology, therapeutics, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, pharmaceutical analysis & quality assurance, pharmacognosy & phyto-chemistry, herbal and ayurvedic drugs, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics - novel drug delivery systems, bio-pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical biotechnology.
The presenting author should have registered as a delegate of APTI Convention 2013. APTICON organisers insist that the certificate will be given to the presenting author only.
There is also a pre-convention workshop on “Personality Development” for post graduates.“Teaching and Research Methodologies” for teachers will be held on October 25, 2013.
In addition, there would be a key note address, convention symposium and plenary lectures on the theme and objectives of the convention. Besides, special invited lectures or presentations by experts are also on the cards.
