Intl experts to brainstorm on pharma nanotechnology during 3-day meet on 'Nano Bio 2013' from June 27
A platform has been set up for the international experts to brainstorm on the latest developments in the ‘biomedical and pharmaceutical nanotechnology’ at Bharathidasan Institute of Technology in Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu during a three-day international conference on the subject 'Nano Bio 2013' starting from June 27.
The conference is organised jointly by the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Bharathidasan Institute of Technology and Anna University, Tiruchirappalli in collaboration with Nanomedicine Research Centre, University of South Florida, USA.
“The international conference is organised for the benefit of scientists, academicians and industry experts. Various distinguished academicians, scientists and industry personalities have agreed to deliberate on the latest developments in the field of biomedical and pharmaceutical nanotechnology during these days,” said Dr Selvamani, convener of the programme.
Dr Don Martin, University of France will deliver on “nano-structured medical devices that provide implantable bio-mimetic sources of power” and Dr Ratneshwar Lal from University of California will speak on “nano-imaging and nanomechanics for diagnostics and therapeutics”.
Dr Shyam Mahapatra, University of South Florida, US will present a paper on “stem cells and micro RNAs- novel nanomedical approaches to reparative medicine”.
Dr Sinnakaruppan Madhavan from GIS Singapore will deliver on “use of zebrafish model in nanotechnology” and Dr Subhra Mahapatra from University of South Florida will speak on “emerging applications of nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery”.
Dr Gopal Kundu, NCC, Pune, Dr Jagat Kanwar, Deakin University in Australia, Dr RS Jayashree from SCTIMST, Thiruvananthapuram, Dr Praveen Kumar Vemula, NCBS, Banglore, Dr DN Rao, AIIMS New Delhi, Dr K Sankaran, Anna university in Chennai, Dr Sanyog Jain, NIPER, Chandigarh, Dr Subbaih Alwarappan from CECRI, Karaikudi and Dr Vinod Labhasetwar from Cleaveland Clinic Lemer Research Institute in California are other eminent speakers in the Conference.
