NIPER to hold 3-day symposium on 'drug development & delivery strategies' from March 21
NIPER-Rae Bareli is organising three-day 5th NIPER (RBL)-CDRI symposium on chemical and biological approaches in drug development & delivery strategies from March 21-23, 2013 at the Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR). The main aim is to augment knowledge based know-how in the interdisciplinary areas of chemical, biological and pharmaceutical sciences.
The symposia is planned keeping in mind the current challenges in drug discovery and development which requires collective inputs from chemists, biologists, pharmacists and clinicians with state-of-the-art research being conducted in the area of science and technology.
According to sources, India is now playing a leading role in drug discovery and development and is aiming to become Research and Development (R&D) hub by 2020. Sources further added that the current scenario of global pharmaceutical research and development, interactions and discussions among academic-industry and future generation young researchers are highly important.
The main attraction of this programme is that the researchers from various institutions will come together with M. Pharm. students from NIPER to present their original research work in the field of drug research and development. The symposium is planned for pharmacy students and researchers. This three-day event will cover topics related to chemistry, biology and pharmaceutical sciences.
Experts from industry will be attending the event and are expected to present most innovative research work being carried out in the field of drug development and delivery approaches. This event will provide a unique platform to chemists and biologists to debate on the issues affecting the progress of drug development.
