Pharmexcil to organise 10th annual meet from September 18-19 in Hyderabad
The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) is planning to organize its 10th annual meet on September 18-19, 2014 in Hyderabad.
As part of its annual conglomeration, this time the council is also organizing a technical conference and seminar on the regulatory and orphan drugs. Eminent speakers from US FDA, UK MHRA, WHO, UNICEF, GMP consultants and representatives from industry are expected to deliberate on various aspects concerning the pharmaceutical industry.
Since established in the year 2004, Pharmexcil has successfully completed 10 years of its existence. During its journey in the past one decade the council has achieved many successes and is continuously striving to promote India’s pharmaceuticals to the global markets. “The role of Pharmaexcil is pivotal in promoting India’s Brand Pharma campaign to the world. It’s been a great journey for Pharmexcil, all through these years we have toiled very hard to promote Indian pharmaceuticals to the world markets. We thank all the members of the council and government of India for all their support. Still there are many challenges and we are continuously working to resolve them by organizing regular meetings, conferences, exhibitions and building confidence among all the state holders across the globe that Indian pharmaceuticals are on par with global standards in quality. With continued support from members, senior officials of Department of Commerce and all other related departments, we could successfully complete 10 years serving the interests of pharma industry in the country, said Dr P V Appaji, Director General, Pharmexcil.
Apart from presentations on the regulatory aspects, the Technical seminar is also expected to focus on rare diseases and orphan drug development initiatives. Researchers and eminent speakers from USA are expected to deliberate on the issue. In addition to looking for business opportunities in India, the representatives from UK and USA are also expected to focus on the quality systems being practiced in the pharma industry in India.
On the final day i.e. 19th of September, the council is orgnaising a CEO’s conclave, wherein top leaders from leading pharmaceutical companies across the globe will take part and deliberate on various regulatory and compliance issues. The council is also expected to give away patent and export awards to outstanding performers on the occasion.
