The Chamber of Commerce, Thiruvananthapuram, is organising an international exhibition and conference, 'Arogya 2005', from 24th to 27th of December 2005. The exhibition, which is oraganised by the Kerala State Government, is the part of 50th anniversary celebrations of the formation of the state.
The programme will focus on the use of alternative medicine such as ayurveda, siddha, yoga, naturopathy, nadi chikilsa, kalari chikilsa, aromatherapy, homeopathy, physiotherapy, unani, and beauty care. The international seminar will discuss topics including ayurveda and the global market, problems in ayurvedic drug standardisation, prevention of lifestyle disorder through ayurvedic approach, two new products emerged from ayurveda dying technology, unique features of siddha, toxicity of herbal minerals etc.
The exhibition aims to create the awareness among the public in alternative medicines as well as to invite leading business entities and leading foreign companies to exhibit and demonstrate the products and services. The ayurveda companies would be allowed to conduct seminars, workshops, and conferences and launch products during the exhibition, informed organisers.
Around 300 delegates from all over the world will participate in the seminar, while Arogya 2005 exhibition targets over a 1,00,000 visitors per day, including doctors, nurses, health industry professionals, the business community, medical students and general public, added the organisers. The Chamber of Commerce will also issue awards to the best ayurveda company of the state and the best exhibition stall.
