2-day workshop on 'Effective Pharma Product Management' in Chennai on Aug 21-22

As part of diversifying its activities to cater to the industry, Pariksith Pharma, a Chennai-based pharmaceutical service provider, will organise a two-day workshop for the pharmaceutical marketing professionals and product managers of various companies to train them in moulding a successful career in the pharmaceutical product marketing and identify opportunities to capitalize on helping the corporate growth.

The workshop titled 'Effective Pharmaceutical Product Management to Maximize the Profits in A Challenging Environment', is designed exclusively for the top brass in the industry and will be held from 9 am to 6 pm on August 21 and 22 at Hotel Le Royal Meridian in Chennai.

The training approach combines formal lectures, case studies, project planning and group discussions.

Speaking to Pharmabiz, S Satheesh Kumar, managing director of Pariksith Pharma said all the pharmaceutical companies have now to navigate a challenging and rapidly changing environment, in which all the stake holders in the industry as well as physicians, patients, and health authorities are facing pressures for change.

To combat the fresh challenges, he said, the product managers need to have the willingness to embrace a fundamentally new approach to their business with a bold new vision and strategy to maximize the profit.

The business trainer claimed that the workshop will provide a comprehensive review of how to build a sustainable competitive advantage for growing product and maximize the revenue. The programme will train the participants how to properly determine and understand their brands market. It will concentrate on areas such as patient flows and patient based market definition. Segmenting the market and prioritizing segments are other aspects of the workshop.

Comprehensive discussions will be held on crucial areas like Case Study on Effective Brand Positioning and the benefits of Branding Pharmaceutical Drugs, Strategies and Tactics in 'Red Ocean Markets' and 'Blue Ocean Markets', Group Work, Designing the Marketing Mix in a Red Ocean Market, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and its importance in building brands, Web 2.0 in Pharma, Value based Marketing, Framing unique strategies in building mega brands, Coining Catchy Brand names and Brand Plan, he explained in an interview with Pharmabiz.

The training programme will provide an intensive structured overview of the product management of the specialty they are into. Further it will help improve their level of contribution to the business they are working on. In the end, the delegates will have a greater appreciation of newer perspectives on customers as well as organizations, and long term brand building techniques.

The group discussions will contribute to vibrant and dynamic interactive sessions, that will result in increased knowledge gain. Case studies add further impetus to marketing strategies and perceived plans of action, Satheesh Kumar said.

The Pariksith M D was conferred with the prestigious Rastriya Rattan Award in the year 2009 by a Delhi based NGO (Citizen Integrated Peace Society) for his outstanding performance in the pharmaceutical industry.
