3-day Int'l conference on Molecular Medicine from Jan 18, 2009 in Chennai

The Laila Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, Chennai, a subsidiary of the Laila group of companies, is organizing a three-day International conference on Molecular Medicine from January 18, 2009.

The conference will be held in association with M/s Florida International University, National Institutes of Health, FDA, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Sri Ramachandra University and Stella Maris College for women. Pharmexcil is supporting the conference which will be held at Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai campus.

The major theme of the symposium is the application of molecular medicine in drug discovery with special reference to different aspects of therapeutic applications. The conference will also consist of two mini symposiums, one on metabolic disorders and the other on phytopharmaceuticals. The major part of the symposium will cover different aspects of research related to preclinical development and clinical development. This conference is an ideal platform for scientists involved in various aspects of research in the field of drug discovery and development to get exposed to the latest research going on in this field.

The conference will cover apart from drug discovery development and associated aspects, regulatory compliance both in herbal products as well as in new chemical entities (NCEs).

Over 35 speakers from US alone have agreed to give talks related to their area of research. All speakers are senior professors with over 25 years of experience in their specific area of research. The speakers are from Florida International University, University of Kansas Medical Center, University of Missouri, University of Minnesota, University of Maryland, Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, Seton Hall University, University of Kentucky, National Institute on Drug Abuse, University of Miami, Drexel University, Miami Children Hospital, Indiana University School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, University of North Texas, University of Rochester and Food and Drug Administration.
