3M Healthcare bags DL Shah National Award from Quality Council of India

3M Healthcare, a sub group of the Indian subsidiary of 3M, has won the prestigious QCI–DL Shah National Award for Healthcare Services awarded by the Quality Council of India (QCI).

The company bagged the award under the ‘Quality Control in Hospital Sterilization’ category for its significant contribution towards Infection prevention enabling speedy recovery and positive patient outcomes at reduced healthcare costs.

Infection control is one of the top most priorities in a hospital to help improve patient outcomes and reduce length of stay in hospitals. Through its customer centric and well appreciated programs, 3M Infection Prevention Division, part of the 3M Healthcare group has been training and educating healthcare professionals leading the way to upgrading practices across the country.

This recognition complements 3M’s ongoing efforts to help prevent and control infection related morbidity and mortality, thus raising the standards of quality of healthcare imparted in hospitals and reduce the cost of care linked to healthcare associated infection. This is also the company’s second national award within a year after winning the prestigious wound management company of the year award at the Frost & Sullivan Healthcare Excellence Awards, stated the release.

In addition to providing innovative solutions from our exhaustive product portfolio, we believe in public private partnerships to empower healthcare professionals by providing them access to discussion forums and continuous medical education programs on best practices,” said Gautam Khanna, executive director, healthcare business-3M India Ltd who received the award from Arun Maira, chairman, Quality Council of India and Member of the Planning Commission, at Delhi.

QCI is an autonomous non-profit organisation set up jointly by the Government of India and the Indian industry represented by the three premier Industry Associates- ASSOCHAM, CII and FICCI.
