The Advance License Committee (ALC) under the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), has approved 37 applications among the 114 pharmaceutical import submissions that came before the committee at its recent meeting held on January 22. While 10 applications were rejected due to want of technical data, the other 67 applications were deferred due to various reasons pertaining to the submission of necessary details, it is learnt.
Among the approved applications, five were of Hyderabad based Matrix Lab Ltd. Natco Pharma Ltd and Divis Labs Limited, both from Hyderabad had three clearances to its credit. The companies who got two clearances each are Strides Arcolab Ltd, Bangalore, Unimark remedies Ltd, Dishman Pharma & Chem. Ltd, Protchem Inds. Ltd, Chennai and Lupin Chem. Ltd, Hyderabad.
Other companies in the list are Suven Pharma Ltd, Hyderabad, R.L. Fine Chem, Bangalore, Srini Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Hyderabad, Alembic Ltd, Baroda, Malladi drugs & pharma Ltd, Suru Chemicals & Pharma Ltd, Mumbai, Aarti Drugs Ltd, Techno Drugs & Intermediate Ltd, Doctors Organic Chemicals Ltd, Nicholas Piramal (I) Ltd, Mumbai, Bajaj Health Care (P) Ltd, Mumbai, Shamrock Intl.
