American Association of Government College of Pharmacists (Bengaluru) Alumni, New York, USA is organising the 10th Star Awards Ceremony at the GM Rejoyz Digital Auditorium & Banquet, located at the 8th cross, 8th Main, Malleswaram in Bengaluru on December 13, 2013.

For the event, Prof. Dr KS Rangappa, vice chancellor, University of Mysore is the chief guest, who will present the Teachers Award.

Also present would be Dr KS Sriprakash, vice chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Dr Subir Basak, president, Jubilant Biosys & Chemsys Limited and Karnataka drugs controller (in-charge) Raghurama Bhandary.

There are also two representatives from the American Association of  GCP Alumni, New York, Dr KP Ravindra, president, and Dr G Jagadeesh, scientific coordinator.

Dr Subas S Karki, professor, pharmaceutical chemistry, KLE University College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru is the winner of the Star Award for the Excellence in Academic Research.

Further, the Association has selected eight post graduate students of the Government College of Pharmacy who will receive the PG Research Grants under the category of Sharada-Sally and Dr Narasimha Murthy Awards for Research.

In addition, two B Pharm students of the final year will receive the Nadipuram Merit Scholarship for Community Services in Patient Counselling.
