The third edition of Analytica-Anacon, an international trade fair and conference for analytical instrumentation, biotechnology, laboratory technology and services, will be held at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore, Karnataka from November 16 - 18, 2006.
Analytica-Anacon is an Indian trade fair with conference having international character designed to take exhibitors to new-developing marketplaces of significant interest. The concept has been transferred from the world- leading trade fair Analytica in Munich, which guarantees a high participation of international exhibitors and market leaders. The first two Analytica-Anacon exhibitions were held successfully in Mumbai. Already, thanks to growing demand from international business, Analytica-Anacon has reached capacity at the venue in Mumbai and hence the venue was shifted to Bangalore, this year, said the organizers.
They informed that Agilent, Mettler Toledo, Thermo Electron and Waters are just a few of the international market leaders in the analysis industry that have already registered to participate in Analytica-Anacon. International and Indian manufacturers of analysis, laboratory-technology and biotechnology solutions are very interested in participating in Analytica-Anacon 2006, and several countries including Germany are using special support measures such as special rates to encourage international companies to exhibit in India.
The exhibition areas for Analytica-Anacon are structured in accordance with the value chain for laboratories. It includes topics like analysis, instrumental analysis, microscopy and optical image processing, chromatography and spectroscopy, quality control in pharmaceuticals and industry, laboratory technology, laboratory apparatus, technology and facilities, laboratory data systems and documentation, reagents, chemicals and consumables, biotechnology/diagnostics, solutions for medicine and diagnostics, biochemicals, bioinformatics and bioanalytics, focus on growth markets, biotechnology & life sciences etc.

The organizers said in 2004, the second Analytica-Anacon trade show was able to maintain and expand upon the first event's success. At Analytica-Anacon 2004, 87 exhibitors from 11 countries used the 2,000 square meters of exhibition space to present their equipment, applications, and services. This corresponds to a 66 % increase in the amount of exhibition space and a 45 % rise in the number of exhibitors. The trade show was attended by 2,240 visitors who gained information on the latest trends and innovations, according to the organisers.
