Anand Diagnostic Lab opens 60,000 sq ft unit, unveils pioneering blood collection service
Anand Diagnostic Lab has now opened a 60,000 sq.ft facility and launched a drive-through blood collection service that will help customers reduce the time and effort required to give samples for required tests. The blood collection service will be operational from 7 AM to 11.00 AM in the morning, six days a week.
The facility has been designed to house the extensive facilities and services covering clinical pathology, clinical and higher chemistry, histopathology, cytology, microbiology, serology, hematology, Cytogenetics and molecular biology.
The lab with a legacy of 4 decades, now accounts for a total staff strength of over 250. “Through the blood collection service the objective is to addresses two key issues. One is the insufficient parking area available and the time crunch. Now this initiative is to assist our customers in caring for their health, while addressing the issues of time constraints and parking woes in the city,” said Dr. Sujay Prasad, director, ADL.
“We have witnessed tremendous growth in the past four decades s. With this new facility, we add a new feather to our caps by being the only lab to have such a vast facility that offers a varied range of diagnostic services,” said Dr N. Jayaram, director, ADL.
ADL has pioneered several initiatives in the diagnostic industry. It is first lab to introduce bar code for patient registration, automate a large number of laboratory processes including some aspects of pre-analytics covering automated sample tube labeling and sample sorting. With the new lab facility, the diagnostic major hopes to bring more advanced technologies to India to benefit the population.
The service, inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. H. T. Sangliana, former Lok Sabha MP & Commissioner of Police, Bangalore, is housed in the new 60,000 sq ft facility, spread over 5 floors, in Shivajinagar, Bengaluru.
