American Oriental Bioengineering Inc plans to market its Soybean Protein Peptide products under the AOBO brand name in the Hong Kong and SE Asian markets in 2003.
"The annual market size is approximately USD200 million in Hong Kong. We expect to capture a reasonable slice of the pie and boost our revenue in 2003. We are confident because our product is of proven quality and functionality and we have been working hard to come up with a total marketing package to launch our products." Tony Liu, president of the Company, said.
The Company intends to position its soybean protein peptide products as health supplements. The major functions would be to enhance the nutrition intake of infants, senior adults, pregnant women, post-surgical patients, chemotherapy and radiotherapy patients because of the direct absorbability by the human body.
"After the introduction of our soybean protein peptide products to the Hong Kong market, we intend to expand into the markets in the SE Asian countries, where a further increase in the Company's revenue is anticipated," Liu added.
