R Ranga Rao, director, AP Drugs Control Administration has been elected as the president of Indian Pharmaceutical Association AP branch and Dr P Khadgapathi of Natco Pharma is elected as the vice-president.

Tata Rao is the secretary of IPA AP branch; B Prabha Shankar and NS Yadav have been chosen for the position of general secretaries. Subbi Reddy is the treasurer.

The newly elected members include Dr Renuka Datla, Hanumantha Rao, M Venkata Reddy, M Vasudev, M Seshagiri Rao and K Ramprasad Reddy.

Meanwhile, IPA's Industrial Pharma Division (IPD) is planning to organize a seminar at Hyderabad in coordination with IPA AP Branch on 'Preparing and passing an FDA inspection' and 'Effective investigations and corrective actions' during October 2006.
