The Andhra Pradesh Drugs Control Administration (APDCA) has brought to the notice of all the manufacturers in the state that the newly amended Schedule ‘M’ under Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940 through notification vide GSR 894 (E) dated 11-12-2001 is applicable to all the licensed firms from July 1, 2005, including the firms licensed prior to December 11, 2001.

The production for sale of drugs and pharmaceuticals after July 1, 2005 without complying the schedule ‘M’ requirements as amended through the notification is an offence under Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules 1945.

The manufacturers in the state has been asked to immediately comply with the provisions of Schedule ‘M’ under Drugs & Cosmetics Act as applicable to each firm and inform the same to the licensed authority.
