The Association of Physicians of India is organizing its 59th annual conference (APICON 2004) at Hyderabad between 18 and 21 January.
Chandrababu Naidu, caretaker CM of AP who was present at the inauguration programme said that India should strive to become a destination for health tourism and asked private hospitals to play an important role in offering better healthcare services. He said India has an advantage of being able to offer health care services at low costs.
Maj. Gen S Venkataraman, president, API pointed out various aspects that will enable us to improve standards of healthcare. Private organizations should come forward in supporting the cause of healthcare, he said.
