The health check programmes will be offered, with a pre-specified validity period, at discounted prices, as compared to the hospital’s rack rate. The service can be redeemed at all the Apollo owned clinics and hospitals. This project by Apollo Hospital Bangalore is in addition to their recently launched cloud based online Personal Health Record (PHR) service – Apollo Prism. These initiatives underline the tech savvy outlook of the hospital giant & enable augmented reach to its customers, stated Ravindra Pai, vice president – marketing & operations, Apollo Bangalore.
The social media mode will assist us both in spreading awareness as well as delivering healthcare solutions to our customer’s doorstep, thereby providing them an impetus to take their health more seriously. With Groupon India, we would add on more services including cosmetic surgery, added Ravindra.
The model of Groupon offers a unique win-win framework for businesses and consumers and will open up the world of e-commerce to healthcare services, which was hitherto limited to fashion & food related products & services, stated Mohan Rao, managing director Groupon India.
Other modes of campaign like mobile & email marketing to the subscribers of such e-commerce portals’ services are bundled along with assured brand presence on the website. Social media acts as an enabler to both the user & the service provider by empowering the former to discover services/ products that they were earlier unaware of. The latter is benefited by increased brand visibility.
Currently available only in Apollo Hospital Bangalore, the company will cascade this programme to its other branches nationwide, based on the initial customer response.
