Apollo Hospitals Enterprise has achieved impressive performance during the third quarter ended December 2009. Its net profit has taken a quantum jump and touched to Rs 43.91 core from Rs 29.53 crore, representing a growth of 48.7 per cent over the corresponding period of last year. Its income from services increased by 28.9 per cent to Rs 480.87 crore from Rs 373 crore.
Its employees cost increased by 30.3 per cent to Rs 74.50 crore and its general administration expenses gone up by 23.3 per cent to Rs 59.32 core from Rs 48.13 crore. The profit before taxation improved by 45.7 per cent to Rs 65.79 crore from Rs 45.15 crore. Its interest burden increased to Rs 8.47 crore as compared to Rs 6.69 crore during the similar period of last year.
For the nine months ended December 2009, Apollo's income improved by 25.9 per cent to Rs 1343 crore from Rs 1067 crore in the corresponding period of last year. The net profit also went up by 38.1 per cent to Rs 122.77 crore from rs 88.93 crore. Thus the earning per share worked out to Rs 19.90 as compared to Rs 15.64 in the last period.
Apollo achieved net sales of Rs 1458 crore during the full year ended March 2009 and earned a net profit of Rs 122.09 crore with earning per share of Rs 19.80.
