Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, a Rs.2,800 crore hospital chain, has posted strong growth in top line and bottom line during the third quarter ended December and its net profit increased by 24.7 per cent to Rs.80.64 crore from Rs.64.65 crore in the similar period of last year. Its income registered a growth of 19.7 per cent to Rs.855.79 crore as against Rs.714.75 crore. EBDITA moved up by 17.1 per cent to Rs.154.43 crore from Rs.131.84 crore.
Apollo's income from healthcare services improved by 15.3 per cent to Rs.565.27 crore during the quarter under review from Rs.490.27 crore and that of pharmacy segment went up by 29.3 per cent to Rs.290.54 crore from Rs.224.63 crore in the corresponding period of last year.
Its revenues for the first nine months ended December 2012 increased by 20.1 per cent to Rs.2,470 crore from Rs.2,056 crore in the same period of last year. Net profit jumped by 36.1 per cent to Rs.233.62 core from Rs.171.68 crore. Its sales from healthcare services increased by 15.4 per cent to Rs.1,654 crore from Rs.1,433 crore and that of pharmacy improved by 31 per cent to Rs.816 crore from Rs.623 crore. The earnings per share for the nine months period worked out to Rs.17 as against Rs.13.31 in the last period.
