The Andhra Pradesh branch of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) will host this year’s Annual National Convention of APTI– APTICON-2010 in Hyderabad on October 1 and 2.
This is the 15th Convention of the association which will be held at the High Tech city near Madhapur in Hyderabad on October 1 and 2. About 1500 pharmaceutical intellectuals, academicians and scientists spearheading the pharmacy education through out the country are expected to participate in the two days conference.
A local organizing committee (LOC) with M William Carey as chairman and professor B Madhava Reddy as executive secretary has been constituted for the conduct of the programme. The convention is expected to offer a common platform for academicians for a fruitful interaction.
According to sources from APTI, the convention will include scientific and technical sessions, poster presentations and pharma exhibitions by pharmacy professionals and manufacturers. Pharmaceutical books, software items, instructional materials, chemicals, glassware materials, scientific instruments, equipment and other ancillaries will be showcased at the exhibition.
The theme of the poster presentations is “Quality in Pharma Education—role of teacher, technology and management”. However students can present papers on subjects like pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical analysis and other related pharmacy subjects. Last date for submitting abstract is August 15, said Dr J N Suresh Kumar, vice chairman of the LoC.
