Ashok Pharmaceuticals, the flagship company of the Chennai based Ashok group of companies, has launched a new energy drink, claimed to be the first-ever liquid glucose customised for kitchen use.

Named ‘Ener’G’, this liquid glucose could be added to any beverage or food items prepared in homes like milk-shakes, tea, coffee and juices, kulfi, burfi, kheer etc. This hundred per cent vegetarian glucose acts very fast and provides instant energy. It is made from high quality corn and is free from starch, artificial colors and flavors, said Ramesh Khathod, CEO, Ashok Pharmaceuticals at a press meet in Chennai, this week.

Ener’G would be made available in user-friendly and easy to store 200-ml. packs with flip top caps. Priced at Rs.86 per pack, it would be available in all the leading shopping malls, general stores, super markets etc., said Ramesh Khathod.

Ashok Pharmaceuticals, essentially into specialty pharmaceuticals and marketing, is the flagship company of the Rs.15 crore Ashok group in Chennai. It manufactures and markets a variety of antihypertensives, antianginals, diuretics and antidepressants, and was incorporated in 1953.
