ASP introduces new DUO cycle for Sterrad 100NX system validated to sterilize most flexible endoscopes & cameras together
Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), a division of Ethicon, Inc, a Johnson & Johnson company, has announced the availability of an expanded Sterrad 100NX System with four cycle options, including the new DUO Cycle for sterilizing most flexible endoscopes and their associated cameras and light cords, including those from Olympus. Combining proven hydrogen peroxide gas plasma technology with expandability for the future, the Sterrad 100NX System platform delivers sterility assurance, ongoing technological innovation and efficiency.
Available as a feature upgrade that customers can purchase for their new or existing Sterrad 100NX Systems, the 60-minute DUO Cycle joins the EXPRESS, FLEX and STANDARD Cycles on the Sterrad 100NX System platform, creating one of the widest ranges of low-temperature sterilization options offered today.
"For over 19 years, I've relied on the hydrogen peroxide gas plasma technology of Sterrad Systems to reprocess instruments for my hospital and the six hospitals within our system," said Nancy Chobin, from sterile processing services at Barnabas Health. "With the additional flexibility and features to help increase productivity, ASP is clearly committed to building upon a trusted technology with the Sterrad 100NX System."
Sterrad 100NX System DUO Cycle offers improved efficiency in sterilizing most single-channel flexible scopes, cameras and accessory light cords together as a set, and it has been validated to sterilize flexible endoscopes with a single-channel polyethylene or Teflon lumen with an inside diameter of 1 mm or larger and length of 875 mm or shorter.
The Sterrad 100NX System with DUO Cycle is now available in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Sterrad Systems have been trusted for over 20 years and are backed by a heritage of innovation at ASP. With thousands of systems in hospitals and healthcare facilities around the world, Sterrad Systems offers a broad range of solutions for terminal sterilization. Engineered using the breakthrough hydrogen peroxide gas plasma technology that is proprietary to ASP, Sterrad Systems sterilize medical devices safely and effectively, without the limitations or risks associated with peracetic acid, steam and ethylene oxide gas systems. More medical device manufacturers have endorsed Sterrad Systems in their labeling than any other low-temperature sterilization brand.
