Bhasker V Iyer, is appointed as managing director, AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd with effect from May 6, 2004. He joins AstraZeneca from Nicholas Piramal lndia Limited where he served as president, sales & marketing, Cardex division.

Iyer has got more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including senior commercial management positions with Glaxo India Ltd, Regent Pharmaceuticals West Africa, ICI Pharmaceuticals India and recently Nicholas Piramal.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology & Chemistry as well as a Masters in Marketing Management from Bombay University. He will be relocating to Bangalore from Mumbai.
