AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd has reported a net loss of Rs.1.22 crore in Q2 ending September 30, 2013 as against decline of Rs.45.12 crore in the previous year ending September 30, 2012. The company’s standalone sales turnover was at Rs.115.58 crore for the quarter ending September 2013 as against the Rs.99.23 crore for the quarter ending September 2012, indicated a 16.5 per cent increase.

The basic and annualized earnings per share (EPS) is at 0.49 for the half yearly quarter ending September 2013 compared to the Rs.18.05 crore of Q2 ending 2012 reporting a 97.3 per cent decline.

The company’s other income stood at Rs.3.34 crore for Q2, 2013 while it was Rs.1.74 crore in same quarter of the September 2012.

The segment revenue from healthcare was Rs.106.6 crore in Q2 ending September 2013 as against Rs.175.8 crore in Q2 September 2012 which is a 39.4 per cent decrease.
