Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has been granted the Certificate of Suitability of monographs of the European Pharmacopoeia by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines (EDQM) for its Active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) Metformin Hydrochloride.

According to the company release, this approval will make the Company to further explore the European market. With this approval the Company will have the license to sell the above API in entire Europe without any restrictions of places. Till date, the Company has applied for several products and some have been granted the Certificate of Suitability.
